Afraid to Discover Truth |
I post this conversation to illustrate that even some Gd-fearing, intelligent, well-educated and well-meaning people, prefer to put their head in the sand rather than possibly discover their illegitimate and sinful prejudices.
I actually sought permission to publish and disclose their identity [part of my strategy to encourage them to recognise that their responses are silly and they are in fact ashamed of them] but they very quickly and emphatically refused to be publicly identified with such weird, ineffective and evasive responses, which are a transparent revelation of their flawed thinking. Their's is a prejudice founded upon a tribal allegiance to a brand within Judaism which unfortunately demands, in the name of Gd, submission of one's responsibility to Gd, His commandments and one's fellow Jew. here is another little gem: full I will not do this without your permission - but would you be comfortable with this conversation being in the public arena? No, because going on your debate with N, you don't answer direct questions in the public arena. As for Eshel and Kosher Classique being Ehrlicher Yidden, so was the butcher from Monsey. You saw what happened there. Have a good night Meir. and another gem Nadav Prawer [I have summarised his lengthy exposition] you have misled people by seeking their permission to publish their conversations with you, and in spite of their objection publishing them after anonymising them. Meir Rabi Hi Nadav Prawer - you do not disappoint - however I will only note that this being your only criticism, you agree with my observations furthermore, you should have accused me of inventing the entire exchange - but even you, perhaps my wildest, harshest critic, know that A] I am not that type of person B] my critics are eminently capable and commonly do shoot themselves in the foot [or the head, if you prefer] by saying and also publishing outrageous, conflicting and senseless accusations in order to support their heroes and tribal affiliations. |

Call me a hardliner, but I will never forget taking a friend to Babel restaurant some years ago and being offered milk in my coffee, even though it was a fleishig restaurant. [Babel had a dedicated dairy kitchen for serving dairy coffee during morning hours at which time meat was not served] It kind of eroded my trust. So I’m not sure what there is to discuss. I wish you well and all the best, Gut Moed and a Gut gebenched Yohr. S = = = = = S, I don't call you anything but someone who is looking for the right path. If you are "not sure what there is to discuss" then you may not be surprised that there is much to discover through discussion, unless you really mean there is nothing to discuss - in which case it may mean that you are uncomfortable with what you may discover through discussion. And I doubt that you mean that a one time error is enough to permanently erode your trust, because which Kashrus organisation has not made many errors? So what do you have to lose?
