All IKU foods are Pareve. This means they may be eaten with either meat or dairy foods.
Kosher prohibits combining meat and milk during cooking and eating. Even after eating meat, dairy foods are not eaten for several hours.

All foods and ingredients at IKU are Kosher, dairy free, additive free, animal free, preservative free, and free from genetic modification.
- All outlets are certified Kosher each one displaying its own dedicated certificate.
- Foods are Bishul Yisrael, cooked with our active participation.
- Breads Rolls are Pas Yisroel, HaMotzi.
- Bread Rolls baked by Grandma Moses, certified Kosher and Mezonot by Rabbi MD Gutnick KAS. OU however, insist they are HaMotzi.
- Wraps are "ShaHaKol", they are not made with any of the "five grains".
- Vegetables are rigorously cleaned to satisfy highest Halachic standards. see
- Dedicated local Kosher VeYosher staff regularly check all IKU outlets, ensuring compliance to Kosher guidelines.
- In addition to our Mashgichim, all the stores are constantly inspected by IKU's own regulatory officers to ensure compliance. Their checklist includes Critical Control Points [that's the CCP part of HACCP] set by our Kosher standards.
