Dairy or Pareve status can be identified from the ingredient list.
Products are Pareve in spite of the warning, "may contain traces of dairy". See this re Lactose

It is not uncommon to see certified Pareve foods with the warning, “may contain traces of milk”.

This has generated some confusion among Kosher consumers who regularly contact the Kosher certifier about possible mislabeling of dairy products as Pareve. 

However, there is no inconsistency at all. The "allergen disclaimer"  has no bearing on the Halachic Pareve status of the product.
